As a birthday present Alejandro reserved a cheap flight to
So we traveled as illegal immigrants (Alejandro had his ID card expired but he likes strong emotions) and hopefully we found no policemen in the airport. Even though it was the end of winter, the weather was almost polar and my thorns were almost frozen. Alejandro used the onion tactic, with a lot of layers of clothes.
We stayed at a cozy hostel where we were the only guests. The Hostel was inhabited by a nice dog that every time he saw us demanded Alejandro to play with him. We met Kasia in
Next day it was sunny and we visited Poznan Cathedral, and again we were the only visitors. We got the feeling hat it was not touristic season in
That same night we met with Magda, another friend we met in
For you to know, Poznan is a very beautiful city inhabited by a lot of students. It has a gorgeous downtown with a beautiful City Hall and colorful houses of ancient times. We also visited a park with airplanes and tanks in the middle, kind of scary but worthy of watching.
On Saturday we went to Wroclaw (it is not pronounced as it is written) one of the cities with the most bridges in Europe and had a very good time, we even had a beer in a bar with communist decoration, As you can imagine Alejandro was thrilled. I was thrilled we all the gnomes and dwarfes that inhabited the citie long ago. I even sat and talk with one of them.
As all the good times, this one didn’t lasted too much and we had to come back to our Catalan reality, but not without nice presents like a polish tourist guide, a little bottle of Vodka and a lot of Polish Music.
We are looking forward to see Kasia and Magda again!
